Circus Arts isn’t strictly dancing, but a lot of bboys, dancers, and athletes hold a place in their heart for the highest level of circus performers. This is a FREE performance, so we just HAD to post about it.

Asia One (USA) has been breaking for 11 years and been affiliated with The Rock Steady Crew, Eternal 2 Creations, and Tony Tee Dance Projects. She runs her own production and dance company called No Easy Props Productions and is the brainchild behind one of the world’s biggest and most respected events, ‘The Bboy Summit’. She has also been featured in music videos for Run DMC and Blackalicious.

The anticipation and excitement in the leadup to Australia’s first international Bgirl competition “She Got Game” is building with less than a week to the actual event!

For those who can’t stand the wait, some of the international and local bgirls will be at First Floor this coming Wednesday for a jam, with DJ BlesOne (Massive Monkeys, USA) on the decks!

This is Australia’s ONLY 16 and under Bboy Dance Competition! Get Ready and Get Excited!

For all the dancers in Sydney, or anyone heading up to Sydney next week…

Audition:
World Disney TV is looking for both a boy and girl for their new TV commercial production, which is going to be aired around the world, including in Australia and USA. This is a paid job.

A girl:
A dancer, any nationalities, aged 14 - 18 years old. You need to show a 30 second dance routine. You can bring your own music or you can pick the music from our selections at the audition.

A boy:
A bboy/breakdancer, any nationalities, aged 14 - 20 years old. You need to be able to demonstrate good Headspins.

Date and Time:
Those who pass the audtions will need to be available for the production shoot date, which is between May 14th - 18th, and only 1/2 day shooting.

There will be showcases on all things urban and street at QV tomorrow, Friday April 27 from 4pm ro 8pm.

Wickid Force will be showcasing, and there will be displays of street gear and culture as well! If you happen to be in the city at the time, drop on by!

Michael Schwandt is an internationally reknowned choreographer that has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Craig David, Mis-Teeq and Jennifer Lopez.

Michael will be teaching only ONE CLASS in Melbourne on Sunday 6th May. The class will be $25, at 5.30-7pm at MMA.

Tovaris Wilson, from the US, will be teaching Workshops at The Space and MMA in May!

Tovaris Wilson is one of the most acclaimed choreographers in the world. His credits include choreographing The Pussycat Dolls ‘Buttons’ film clip, which was also the opening number in their show. He has also choreographed Austin Powers II, Britney Spears ‘Sometimes’ Music Video and her ‘Oops…I Did It Again’ World Tour, Cher ‘Do you Believe’ Tour and Janet Jackson’s 2001 - 2002 ‘All For You’ World Tour - just to name a few!
