When the first season of SYTYCD aired in America two years ago, we all dreamed of the show being brought to Australia. When the second season aired on Channel Ten last year, everyone tipped the move as an indication that an Australian version would be produced based on the ratings success.
Channel Ten announced just a few weeks ago that they will be running an Australian version of So You Think You Can Dance next year, with casting calls and auditions to be held over the next few months.
Bree Amer (from Big Brother 2004) has been tipped to be the host of the show.
Groovedance will keep everyone updated on all audition information about the show as it comes out. Good luck to everyone in the scene in your preparations and training for the show!!!

Montanasa was previously going to be held on September 15, at Melbourne Music Academy in what was already being tipped as one of the most spectacular and anticipated events for the year.
It was confirmed very recently however, that the event date has been moved to Sunday 30 September, and will be held at The Palms at Crown Entertainment Complex instead. This will ensure that the dancers and those lucky enough to secure a ticket to watch the event will be treated to an amazing show with a great production team behind it.

The Palms at Crown
This also means that there is no longer an event date clash with Peninsula Crew Challenge and enthusiasts no longer have to decide between which event they’re attending!
Tickets will be available through Ticketek in a few weeks time. People who have already bought Montanasa tickets under the original arrangements may receive a full refund from Melbourne Music Academy.
Visit our Montanasa Page for the latest updates on the event!
