Over January and February, So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) will be taken to the people in a national Westfield Tour.You are invited to register on the day of the SYTYCD dance off’s at a Westfield near you!
Network Ten and So You Think You Can Dance in conjunction with Westfield Shopping Centres is running a touring competition to find Australia’s most talented dancer! This is an official SYTYCD side-competition, with grand final winners getting a $5000 Westfield gift card and two tickets to a live SYTYCD show.

If you thought 2007 was a busy year for the dance scene, then 2008 will be overwhelming. At least SIXTEEN events have already been confirmed for the year, with many more to be announced including many bboy and krump events, dance workshops and crew auditions.
It is important for all dancers and dance crews to read this so they can plan ahead! Registration links for the first few events are also in the article.

Embrace will be looking for new members to join their dance team in 2008. Here is your chance to audition and be part of the Embrace family.
Date: Sunday January 20th 2008
Time: 12.30pm - 4pm
Place: RMIT Bundoora Sporting Centre, McKimmie’s Rd, Bundoora
Auditions will consist of a 20 - 30 second solo routine; you may bring your own music or dance from a random selection.
All auditioning will then learn 1 or possibly 2 routines choreographed and taught by Roberto Pierantozzi (lead choreographer of Embrace).
Embrace has many upcoming performances and competitions on the list for 2008. We are looking for committed individuals who have a passion and love of dance. Previous dance experience is preferred and over 15 years of age.

Dance United school of dance is the new sister school of the well respected Unitd Styles dance studio. The new school will be opening on January 29th with some of Melbourne’s finest choreographers and teachers which include; Arch Ilias (Wickid Force), Vince Calingasan (Rewind), Nicole King and more.
Dance United will be running classes in Breakin, Hip Hop, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Locking, Popping, and Contemporary.
The school is located at 431-433 Burwood Hwy, Vermont South.

The Official IUAC (Illadvanced Urban Arts Collective) center is finally close to getting completed and they are looking for Urban Dance teachers on a permanent, freelance, or on-call basis. Pay rates are above industry standards and they provide opportunities for teachers to grow their classes and benefit from class numbers.
