Extras Needed for Music Video Shoot

Date: Friday 25th April
Time: 8-10pm
Place: 350 Frankston Dandenong Rd, Dandenong (corner Swift Way)

Music video for Asian RnB artist to be shot on 25th of April , which is a friday nite from 8pm till 10pm. The scene is a You got served style dance off being shot in a wharehouse at 350 Frankston Dandenong rd, Dandenong (corner Swift Way). The production will need plenty of extras to fill out the crowd as the audience which will onlook the dance battles that take place. Dress style is urban casual and we will need guys and girls so bring your friends too. There will be a party vibe on the night. The video will be shown on Channel V Asia and MTV China.

Get Krump’d 2008 Updates

Get Krump’d is just around the corner on April 5. There has been a slight change in location and you’ll need to enter from Gate 6 instead of Gate 8 to get to the event.

Presale tickets are now available for $12 until April 3rd at MVCC, Civic Centre, 9 Kellaway Ave, Moonee Ponds – limited to 4 per person). There will be limited door sales – last year saw a sold out event so be there early to avoid disappointment. (Civic Centre Hours: Mon, Weds, Thurs Fri 8:30am-5:00pm and Tuesday 8:30-7:00pm)

TVC Casting - MindBodySpirit Festival

Promoting health and wellbeing since 1989, the Mind Body Spirit Festival is an exhibition of fitness, organics, complementary medicine, holistic therapies, spirituality and personal growth. With a predominantly female following, between the ages of 20 and 45, of middle to upper household incomes, the exhibition serves to showcase wellbeing products and services.

They are currently seeking the following roles for the production of the Festival’s TVC.

Casting Date: Thu 27 March 2008 (By appointment only)
Place: Dance World Studios, 295 Bank Street South Melbourne Vic 3205

Mature Female - Featured role, Age: 45-55, Height: 5’6-5’9, Caucasian.
Must have some previous dance background. The choreography is not physically demanding as it focuses on arm movements, however, the applicant must have good coordination and excellent timing. Slim and preferably short hair.

Male - Featured role, Age: 20-30, Height: 5’7-5’9, Caucasian.
Must have previous dance background. Slim figure. Preferably dark hair. Good coordination skills and musicality.

JD’s Back Teaching at MMA

Sabra and Kameron Workshops

SYTYCD Season 3 winner Sabra Johnson, and top 10 finalist Kameron Bink will be in Australia from April 3-20. They will be teaching contemporary/jazz and hip hop classes in Melbourne on Saturday April 5 and Sunday April 6.

Tre Armstrong Workshops

Tre Armstrong has worked with artists such as Missy Elliot, 50 Cent, Eve and Rihanna, and appeared in movies such as Honey, Save the Last Dance, and Shall We Dance. She is now starring in the hit movie ‘How She Move’ in cinemas April 10. Tre will be teaching some of the hottest Hip Hop and Stepping moves straight out of the USA so don’t miss this!

AHC Heat 2 Results

The second heat of the Australian Hip Hop Championships took place a few hours ago.

Hi-Voltage, Hollabak and Freeloaders have qualified from the open category.

Street Funk qualified over some very tough competition to advance the the finals on May 18th.

Victorian Bboy Championships Results

Congrats to Falcon (KO) for taking out the solos against Nemo (Pokedots) in the finals.

Delinkwentz won the crew battle versus Fresh Sox in the final and advance to the Australian Bboying Championships later in the year.


Updates and This Weekend

Fresh Sox celebrated their 5-year anniversary yesterday with heaps of cyphers and international guests including Taisuke and Katsu from Zulu Kingz (Japan).

Word on the street is that Salah (Vagabonds Crew, France) whom is regarded as one of the best dancers in the world is down in Melbourne performing at the Grand Prix.

This Saturday 22nd is the Victorian Bboy Championships at 138 Cromwell St, Collingwood. 12pm start, $10 entry

The next day Sunday 23rd is the last Melbourne qualifier for the Australian Hip Hop Championships. 1pm at Games Hall, Wesley College Prahran. There are 14 crews lined up for this heat.
