Battlegrounds saw 34 crews from 5 countries gather in Melbourne for an intense night of extraordinary dancing. The standard of dancing has never been higher and the audience were treated to a great mix of styles from the international crews. New Zealand came in full force with very strong shows from all of their crews and showed how different the dance culture can be in different countries.
There were some crews who’s presence was clearly missed, including the top 3 from last year’s Battlegrounds (Nu Skool Club, Psalms, Kulture Break). From a production perspective, there was barely any lighting, and the sound system was weak with no rear speakers and distortion in a lot of the mixes.
Regardless, Battlegrounds this year was heaps of fun with lots of new bonds and new friends made!
